Truth first. India in 2026 has no dedicated C++ conference and one active but small C++ meetup. The nearest serious C++ conferences are Berlin (Meeting C++) and Aurora, Colorado (CppCon). This file tells you honestly what’s worth the flight, what’s worth the meetup subway ride, and what’s worth zero minutes.

2. The four global C++ conferences you must know

CppCon — Aurora, Colorado, USA — September 12–18, 2026 (verified)

  • Site. https://cppcon.org.

  • Venue. Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Aurora, CO. Confirmed in-person only for 2026 (no hybrid pass).

  • Sponsors 2026. Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Google, Microsoft, JetBrains, Intel, Meta and others.

  • Field trip. September 13 to Red Rocks Park / Morrison, CO.

  • Registration. Open since Feb 2026 (cppcon.org/cppcon-2026-registration-is-open).

  • Fees (2026 confirmed by CppCon site). Full week ~$1,500 USD (early bird) to ~$1,900 USD (regular). Academic and student discounts exist. That is ~₹1.25 L to ~₹1.60 L, plus ~₹1 L flights (Bengaluru ↔ Denver via LHR or DXB), plus ~₹80 K–₹1.2 L for a week’s lodging. Total realistic India cost: ₹3–4 L.

  • Verdict for Raghul. Skip 2026. Target CppCon 2027 or 2028 after Phase 5 is done and you have a real C++ project to talk about. In the meantime: watch every 2026 talk on the CppCon YouTube channel — they release one/business-day starting ~mid-November of the same year, and all main-program talks are up by ~late-February the following year.

  • Early Video Access. ~$150 (2025 pricing; 2026 to be confirmed) — buys you videos ~3 months earlier than the free release. Worth it once in the phase where you’re benchmarking against 2026 material.

Meeting C++ — Berlin, Germany — November 5–7, 2026 (verified pattern)

  • Site. https://meetingcpp.com/2026 — sponsorship call open since early 2026; final schedule locked ~August 2026.

  • Format. Hybrid (in-person Berlin + online) — this is the key. Meeting C++ has been reliably hybrid since 2020 and has kept the option every year since. 2025’s edition (Nov 6–8, 2025) at Vienna House by Wyndham Andel’s Berlin featured Anthony Williams as keynote.

  • Cost (2025 baseline; adjust ~5% for 2026 EUR inflation). Online ticket ≈ €300–350 (~₹28 K–33 K). In-person ≈ €800–900 (~₹75 K–85 K), plus flights ~₹80 K and lodging ~₹40 K. Online only: ₹30 K — feasible. Verdict: buy the online pass Phase 4 or later, once you can follow talks.

  • Recordings. Uploaded to youtube.com/@MeetingCPP starting ~Jan–Feb of the following year. Even without a ticket, you get the videos free eventually — the paid ticket buys you (a) live Q&A, (b) early access, (c) the online-attendee Discord where you can chat with speakers.

C++ on Sea — Folkestone, UK — Early July annually

  • Site. https://cpponsea.uk.

  • Format. In-person UK + recordings later on youtube.com/@cpponsea (17.9 K subs, high-quality).

  • Highlights 2025 (verified). Jason Turner “The Power and Pain of Hidden Symbols in C++” (recorded, on the channel).

  • Verdict for Raghul. Never attend. Watch the recordings free. It is a smaller, more intimate, higher-quality-per-talk conference than CppCon but the travel maths from India makes CppCon or Meeting C++ a better ROI.

ACCU — Bristol, UK — Late March / early April annually

  • Site. https://accu.org/conf-main/main/.

  • Recordings. Uploaded to youtube.com/@ACCUConf (~15 K subs). Bryce Adelstein Lelbach’s “The C++ Execution Model” (ACCU 2025, verified: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zq5ZmCvldU) is one of the best talks of the last two cycles.

  • Format. Not just C++ — general software craftsmanship. Broader than CppCon. High signal-to-noise.

  • Verdict. Never attend. Watch recordings.

code::dive — Wrocław, Poland — November

  • Site. https://codedive.pl.

  • Recordings. youtube.com/@codedive (8 K subs). Sponsored by Nokia, historically free to attend for locals.

  • Verdict. Watch recordings. Notable for Bartek Filipek, Andrzej Krzemieński, Jonathan Boccara talks.

C++Now — Aspen, Colorado, USA — Early May annually

  • Site. https://cppnow.org.

  • Character. The hardest, most template-heavy, most WG21-committee-adjacent conference. Small audience, ~150 people. Not a beginner event.

  • Verdict for Raghul. Watch selected recordings from Phase 4 onwards. Never attend.

3. India in 2026 — the honest picture

Bangalore C/C++ Meetup (verified)

  • URL. https://www.meetup.com/bangalore-c-c-meetup

  • Members (July 2026). ~457.

  • Frequency. Verified live, but real event cadence is low — often quarterly, sometimes irregular. No recorded event for several months stretches is normal.

  • Value. Low — but non-zero. This is the only Bengaluru meetup with “C++” on the label. If a real event lands during your window, attend. If not, join the meetup group as a signal to organizers there is unmet demand.

  • Action. Join now. Set the meetup email notifications to on. If you see 3 months of dead air, message the organizer offering to speak once you’re at Phase 3+.

Bangalore Software Craftsmanship

  • Search meetup.com for “Bangalore Software Craftsmanship”. Historically active, mostly not-C++, occasionally hosts talks on modern language practices that apply.

  • Verdict. Optional. Not a C++ venue.

PyData Bangalore

  • URL. https://www.meetup.com/pydata-bangalore (verify at time of join).

  • Why it’s here. This is the ML+C++ crossover meetup for Bangalore. Talks on inference (ONNX, TensorRT, llama.cpp) show up regularly. Your Zoho ML background makes you a native audience member. The C++ overlap is ~15–20% of talks — enough to be worth the 2 hours.

  • Verdict. Attend when talks match. This is the meetup where you can network as an ML engineer moving into the C++ inference layer — exactly your positioning.

AI Camp Bangalore / dev.events Bengaluru / Snowflake User Group

  • Discoverable at https://aicamp.ai/bangalore, https://dev.events/bengaluru.

  • Verdict. Attend when a talk topic hits your Phase (5–7). Use these as networking events, not learning events. Bring your own project.

AWS/Google/NVIDIA India dev days

  • Corporate-sponsored, once/twice a year in Bengaluru/Hyderabad.

  • Verdict. Attend NVIDIA GTC India (usually October in Bengaluru; https://www.nvidia.com/gtc/ sub-pages) exactly once, once you are in Phase 5. Skip AWS/Google unless a specific track applies.

Zoho DevSummit (internal)

  • Zoho hosts internal engineering events. Attend all of them. As an internal employee this is your cheapest professional signal — you can submit a talk of your own by Phase 4 (e.g., “Modern C++ patterns for the ML inference layer we’re building on top of ZohoOne”).

  • Explicit action. Propose one internal talk to your manager by end of Phase 4. See 07_zoho_alignment_reads.md for the pitch template.

6. Speaker pipeline — what to aim for by Phase 7

Meetup and conference attendance is the input side. The output side is: by end of Phase 7, you have submitted or delivered at least one talk.

8. Honest opinion on the “India C++ desert”

  • India’s C++ community is thin but real. Do not compensate by trying to make one exist. Just plug into the global one via online passes and YouTube. That is what almost every serious India-based C++ developer actually does — HFT quants at Optiver Mumbai, NVIDIA India engineers, Bloomberg Bangalore engineers included. Ask them; they will confirm.

  • The absence of a Bengaluru CppIndia conference is a market gap. By Phase 7 you could plausibly be one of ~20 people in Bengaluru with the standing to help launch it. That is worth noting, not acting on now.

  • Zoho DevSummit is your leverage. It is India-based, it is your employer, it has a captive audience, and a talk there has direct career value.
